GEORGETOWN COMMUNITY INFORMATION & NEED TO KNOW

The Town of GEORGETOWN ONTARIO was established in the mid 1800's and was named after George Kennedy who was one of the initial settlers in the area.  It  is a community in the Town of Halton Hills and is located just north of the 401, approximately 60 Km from Toronto.  Georgetown with a population of approx 39,000, is the largest of the communities that make up the Town of Halton Hills which also includes Acton, Glen Williams, Norval and Stewarttown.

Nestled on the Banks of the Credit River, Georgetown is a tight-knit community with much to offer, including fine Restaurants, Quaint Shops and Boutiques, Library, Theatre, Successful Sports Teams, Excellent Hospital & Healthcare, Hiking Trails, recoginized Schools, a great community spirit & an expanding Transportation System with the Go Train proposed to have hourly service from Toronto through to Kitchener by the year 2015. Georgetown itself is comprised of several neighbourhoods and if you are interested in buying a home you will find below some valueable real estate information.

THE PARK AREA: One of Georgetown's oldest neighbourhoods this well established & much sought after area is a short stroll to the Fairgrounds and the Olde Downtown core offering quaint Shops, Boutiques, Restaurants, Library and The George Elliott Theatre
